Visual Studio Online (VSO) and it’s on-premise counterpart Team Foundation Server (TFS) are great tools for managing work and collaborating with a team.  For many projects getting started is as easy as choosing a work template and version control.  For others we need to build a more robust foundation on which we will orchestrate work in a multi-team environment. Every time I begin to learn a new language I like to start with the classic “Hello World!”.  To me it just feels right and it’s nice to get that rapid gratification that comes along with going from nothing to something working in a short time.  Over the years I’ve found that new endeavors, personal or professional, can be hampered or halted by lack of realized results despite the best intentions.
